These days, hackers uses Phishing emails to make the PC compromised. In fact, this graph of report is rising day-by-day. According to reports, half of the Internet users are getting one phishing mails everyday.

Experts suggest to block such attacks before they reach to the users with DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication Reporting and Conference) standards.
But even after all the preventions, these nails find their way to place in the users inbox. Thus, users must know about phishing ways so that they can detect these mails and report as early as possible before they can harm your PC.

Phishing is usually done via emails or the websites which may seems like real. These mails will look like real . It uses the name of users bank and convince them to confirm their banking details by clicking on the links.

#1: Do not trust the display name of the mails

Usually, cyber hackers uses the brand names as their display names to look like real. From a survey, it has been detected that more than 760,000 spam emails contains world’s largest brand names. Thus, you need to be careful if you get such mails. Always check the email address and if it looks suspicious then delete the mail quickly.

#2: Notice the spelling mistakes

Almost all the famous brands are serious about their mails and doesn’t make any mistakes in spellings or leave grammatical error. So check the spellings carefully.

#3: Do not click on the links

If you have detected any mail as phishing email then do not click on its links. If you want to test the link then you can type the website address in another window instead of clicking on the links.

#4: Check the greeting carefully

Mostly legitimate brands uses personal salutation with your name. So check the mail that it contains such greetings or not?

#5: Do not enter any personal information

No banks or companies asks the users to enter their credential information in the mails. So, never provide your banking details, passwords or credit card information to such mails.

#6: Check the subject of the mail

Generally, spam emails contains subjects which looks like urgent or scary. If it says that your account has been suspended or unauthorized login attempts then do not trust it.

#7: Review the signature in the mail

If ou notice lack of signature of company profile then it is also a sign of spam email. Legit company always provide their name, address or contact details.

#8: Do not download attachments

Spam emails always contains attachments with DOC, XLS or PDF extensions. You must know that it contains infectious links so try to avoid clicking on the attachments.

#9: Don’t trust the header of the spam emails

Cyber crooks uses the name of the brand name in the header. So, be careful of you get such mails with headers.

#10: Do not believe mails from unknown source

It might be possible that you will get lots of mails in your inbox daily. Double check all the details carefully f you detect any suspicious information in the mail.
